What began as a teenage crush in Vienna’s vibrant nightlife of the late ’80s has transformed into a modern club track with international appeal. “Caroline”, originally written in 1989, tells the story of an unspoken love that left a lasting impression on the artist. Inspired by fleeting encounters in the iconic Club Poeblo, the song quickly became a favorite within his band Staccato and even gained attention at the Austrian popodrom band competition.
Fast forward to 2024: A week in COVID quarantine became the unexpected spark to revisit the song. With a fresh production and a feature by Mark Voc, “Caroline” was reborn on Spotify — receiving unexpected acclaim from audiences and radio stations across France, Italy, the UK, and the USA.
